The Duck Inn Chicago Wedding
I had the honor of capturing Aura & Glenn’s special day, from the early morning downtown to their intimate reception at this unique venue.
The day started with a quick “official” ceremony at City Hall (although the ‘real’ one was later) followed by a luncheon at Cindy’s Rooftop with close friends and family.
The festivities really took off in the afternoon, though, with some photos downtown. Even though it was already dark by the time we started, the city lights provided an awesome backdrop. The nighttime setting really added a touch of romance and urban chic to the photos, perfectly reflecting their style.
From there, we headed to The Duck Inn for the main event. This Bridgeport landmark, known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious food (excellent, imo), was the perfect setting for Aura & Glenn's intimate wedding. With only their closest friends and family in attendance, the atmosphere was incredibly warm and personal.
The ceremony took place in the main dining area, which was beautifully decorated with twinkling lights and floral arrangements. The couple exchanged their vows surrounded by the love and support of their nearest and dearest, making for a truly touching and memorable ceremony.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres before sitting down to a delicious family-style dinner. The Duck Inn's signature dishes, including their famous duck, were a hit with everyone. The evening was filled with laughter, conversation, and heartfelt toasts, reflecting the love and joy that Aura & Glenn share.
As a wedding photographer, I love capturing the unique stories of each couple I work with. Aura & Glenn's wedding was no exception. Their relaxed and genuine approach to their day made it truly special, and it was a privilege to be a part of it.
